ORDERING & SHIPPING

Can I place an order to be shipped outside the United States?
We do not ship outside the United States due to the perishable nature of our chocolates.

Can I place an order to be shipped to warm-weather parts of the country?
Yes!  We monitor the weather and suggest expedited shipping services when necessary to ensure the safe delivery of our chocolates.

What does it mean when "warm weather shipping" is in effect?
We monitor the weather and offer only expedited shipping services to ALL warm-weather destinations. We want to be sure your chocolates arrive in perfect condition. When the weather gets too warm, our shipping department takes extra care to make sure each chocolate arrives to your doorstep in perfect condition: cool and intact (no one likes melted chocolate). This means we may require expedited shipping or take extra packing precautions, which may increase shipping prices temporarily. You will be notified during checkout of shipping speeds and prices available.
Warm weather shipping does not apply to CT, DE, MA, ME, PA, MD, NH, NJ, NY, RI, or VT.

Can I ship to a P.O. Box or an APO/PO Address?
No, at this time we do not provide shipments to APO/PO addresses.

Do you offer same-day shipping?
At this time, we do not offer same-day shipping.

Do you offer free shipping*?
We offer shipping specials seasonally.  Free shipping offers are not available during Summer months and do our best to minimize shipping costs whenever possible.

What payment methods do you accept for online orders/curbside?
 We accept American Express, VISA, MasterCard and Discover credit cards, as well as payment via PayPal.

What is your return policy? 
We want our customers to be completely satisfied with our delicious chocolate creations. We do our best to pack our chocolates to be delivered unmelted and ready to enjoy. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, contact us to help with return or replacements.

What is Gertrude Hawk Goodies?
Every chocolate lover’s dream come true, being rewarded for eating chocolate! Gertrude Hawk Goodies is a reward program designed to reward you with free chocolate, special discounts and news about new products. Every item purchased in a Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Shoppe earns you points. Goodies rewards members will earn one point for every dollar spent!  You’ll earn a $5 cash reward for every 100 points earned.
 
How does it work?
Simply buy delicious chocolates in store or online* and earn points. Goodies members will earn 1 (one) point for every dollar spent in any Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Shoppe or online at GertrudeHawkChocolates.com. To sign up, simply ask any sales associate to become a Goodies member. You will need to provide your name, a mobile phone number and email address at the register. (Don’t worry, we won’t call you or sell your info to anyone. We sell chocolate, not your personal information!)  Or, simply create a customer account online at GertrudeHawkChocolates.com Once you’re a member all purchases will begin to earn you points.
*Excludes all fundraising orders.
 
How do I check my Goodies rewards balance?
Create an account at GertrudeHawkChocolates.com and click “Reward Points” in your My Account window.  You can also view your points balance at any Gertrude Hawk Chocolates store.  Simply provide the sales associate with your name, email or phone number.
 
Do my points expire?
No. Points earned from purchases will accumulate until you decide to redeem them. Special offers, such as Welcome and Birthday Bonus points DO expire. Most bonus points will expire between 30 to 60 days.
 
I've submitted a product review, when will points be added to my account?
You can earn 25 points for each approved product review. You must be logged in to your account to submit product reviews.  Once your product review has been submitted, points will post to your account within 24-48 hours AFTER the review is approved. 2 approved reviews per month per account.
 
Why don't I have any points in my account?
All online orders will accumulate points beginning October 26, 2022.  Online orders placed prior to October 26, 2022 were not part of the Goodies Rewards program.  Points earned from product reviews will post to your account 24-48 hours AFTER the review is approved. 2 approved reviews per month per account.
 
How do I change my email address or upate my account information?
Log in to your account.  Click "Account Information" in the left side menu.  You can choose what information you would like to update.
 
 

IN-STORE PICKUP

In-Store Pickup Locations

In-Store Pickup is back!  We are offering in-store pickup in 13 of our stores.  Shop our website as you would for a normal online order, then:  

  • Proceed to checkout, 
  • Enter in all of YOUR information, address etc.  
  • Once all of your information is in, your shipping options will appear.  
  • Chose In-Store Pickup and the store location nearest you.
  • Proceed to the next page, and place your order.
  • Once your order is placed the store will contact you within 24 hours when your order is ready.

CHOCOLATE CARE

Where should I store my chocolates?
We recommend storing your chocolates in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.  Water and heat are the enemies of your delicious treats-- chocolate will melt in the heat and form condensation in humid conditions.  Keep your chocolates between 60-70 degrees fahrenheit.  A kitchen cupboard is an ideal place.  Or, honestly, don’t store them at all!  Chocolate is at peak flavor while it is fresh.

Are your chocolates Kosher certified?  Certified Kosher Gertrude Hawk Chocolate products are noted in product description.

How can I request a donation for a community event or fundraiser? All donation requests should be summited online at: https://gertrudehawkchocolates.com/donation-request.  

Due to the high volume of requests received, telephone, email and mailed inquiries regarding the donation status are discouraged.

What type of fundraising options do you offer?
We offer Seasonal Brochures for Fall & Spring along with a great prize program to assist with growing your sales. We also offer a Chocolate Bar program year-round.

Do you require any money up front? 
We do not require payment in advance.

What type of materials do you provide?
We offer FREE Sales Materials for all programs to help you achieve your fundraising goal. 

How are orders packed?
All brochure orders are packed by individual seller for easy distribution.

What if something is wrong with the order?
All you have to do is report the problem within 3 business days of receipt and it will be taken care of for you.
